Taylor's piece is a moving tribute to his later father: 'I have been wanting to paint a big beautiful bowerbird for the last year inspired by my dad who was a long time Darwin local who passed away in Feb 2023 and always loved them. We grew up with an old painting of one on our wall, and I've always wanted to try painting one myself'
